Spiritual Forest Therapy Training – 5 Days at the Ranch in Mouzeil
Five days immersed in the heart of the Living World, in Mouzeil in Loire-Atlantique, between Nantes and Angers, to deepen your relationship with trees and learn how to guide forest therapy experiences yourself.
Do you love trees and feel that they hold a place in your life that goes far beyond being part of the scenery?
Would you like to learn how to guide a group in nature, deepen your sensitivity to the plant world, and perhaps turn this relationship with the Living World into a new professional path or a complementary practice alongside your current work?
Over five days and 30 hours of training, I guide you through the practice of spiritual forest therapy and Plant Consciousness.
A training course where theory and practice constantly inform one another, where we learn to understand trees as much as to sense them, and where nature is not simply the place in which we work: it becomes our partner.
🌿 Registration for the 2027 sessions is now open.

In 2027, the training takes root at the Ranch
For several years, I taught this training in different parks around Nantes. It was a wonderful adventure, among very different landscapes, magnificent trees, meadows and urban woodlands.
But for some time now, another place has been calling me to teach differently.
From 2027 onwards, the training sessions will therefore take place at the Ranch in Mouzeil (44850), in the Pays d’Ancenis area of western France, between Nantes and Angers, in the woodland where much of my own relationship with the Living World unfolds.
It is a more intimate, wilder place, where we can take the time to observe changing light, passing wildlife, the seasons, the trees and everything that makes up an ecosystem when we genuinely allow ourselves to slow down.
A place we care for
The Ranch is not a setting created for training courses. It is a living place that I care for every day.
When we arrived here, there were also traces left by people. With my family, we cleared the land, collected a great deal of rubbish, and removed fencing and barbed wire in particular, so that wildlife could move more freely and with less risk of injury.

Little by little, we are getting to know those who were here long before us.
Roe deer and other deer cross the land. Foxes, hares, wild boar, squirrels and many small rodents live here or pass through.
In winter, egrets sometimes stop here while herons fly over the Ranch. Tits are plentiful, and nuthatches run along the trunks, often upside down as though the laws of gravity were ultimately rather optional. 😊
And then there are the trees and shrubs: oaks, ashes, elders, hazels, hawthorns and blackthorns. Willows, service trees, poplars, hollies, gorse… and even an apple tree.
In spring, the woodland floor fills with yellow and pink flowers: lesser celandines, herb-Robert and other small inhabitants that we sometimes notice only when we walk slowly. Snake’s-head fritillary, with its remarkable chequered flower typical of damp meadows, also grows here.

And then there is the light. The sunsets can be spectacular. As for the sunrises… on some mornings, they seem quite literally to lift the soul.
This is the environment in which I now want to teach forest therapy: in a place I know, love and protect, and with which I have built a genuine relationship.
Because caring for the Living World may begin precisely here: not by speaking of Nature as something outside ourselves, but by learning to live with it.
Forest therapy training sessions in 2027
Three five-day sessions are planned:
26–30 April 2027
23–27 August 2027
11–15 October 2027
Each session includes 30 hours of training, spread over five days.
Group sizes are deliberately kept small to preserve the quality of guidance, the intimacy of the experience and time for meaningful discussion.
What can you expect during these five days?

This training is not about memorising a series of exercises and then reproducing them mechanically with a group.
Of course, you will learn practical techniques and practices: grounding, sensory experiences, tree hugging, sit spots or medicine places, visualisation, gratitude, creative practices…
But we will go further. We will learn to observe a place before intervening in it, to recognise what makes it unique, and to notice the relationships between trees, plants, animals, soils, fungi… and the people who move through it.
We will also explore the life of trees, their relationships with their environment and the forest as an ecosystem, as well as safety, weather, site assessment, professional practice and group facilitation.
And because this is a spiritual forest therapy training course, we will also explore our sensory, intuitive and energetic relationship with trees.
The spiritual dimension is an intentional part of my approach. It belongs to the realm of inner experience and personal perception, and should not be confused with the scientific knowledge we also explore concerning trees, ecosystems and the effects of contact with nature.
For me, these two perspectives do not have to oppose one another. They can meet, enter into dialogue and invite us to look at the Living World with greater awareness.
Objectives of the spiritual forest therapy training
By the end of the five days, you will have learned how to:
lead a group in a natural environment while applying essential safety principles;
design and facilitate a forest therapy walk or experience;
develop your role as a guide and your ability to support a group;
better understand trees and the ecosystems in which they live;
observe a natural environment and identify the main plant, animal and mineral elements within it;
experience different sensory-connection and grounding practices;
develop your own sensitivity to trees and places;
explore an energetic and spiritual relationship with the plant world in a respectful way;
create your own practices based on your personality, experience and, where relevant, your current profession;
pass on respect for trees, nature and the Living World in your own way.
Who is this training for?
You do not need to be a therapist to take part.
Over the years, I have welcomed people from many different backgrounds: well-being practitioners, coaches, teachers, nature facilitators, photographers, helping professionals, and people changing careers…
And sometimes simply women and men who knew one thing: trees held an important enough place in their lives that they wanted to go further.
This training may be right for you if you want to:
develop a professional activity around forest therapy;
enrich an existing practice;
guide groups in nature;
deepen your relationship with trees;
experience a meaningful personal journey;
bring more of the Living World into your professional life;
pass on an ecological and sensitive awareness of the natural world.
No prior qualifications are required.

A training course that combines learning and experience
One theme has appeared regularly in testimonials since the first sessions: these five days are not experienced only as professional training. They often become a pause from everyday life. A different rhythm. Sometimes even a clear before and after.
Sébastien, autumn 2024 session:
This training exceeded my expectations by far. It was incredibly rich, both in its approach to forest therapy and in its holistic and spiritual dimension. […] For me, there will be a before and an after this training.
Marine, spring 2022 session:
For me, this training felt like a gift outside of time. […] With a perfect balance between theory and practice, I learned a great deal. I came away full of ideas, inspiration, projects and momentum…

Your trainer
I am Clotilde Rolland, founder of Telomere Project, forest therapy guide and trainer.
Since 2022, I have also held a certificate of competence in designing and delivering training programmes, awarded by Manitude.
What I share with you during these five days also comes from years spent guiding groups, observing trees, experimenting, reading, learning… and continually questioning the way we relate to the living world.
My way of teaching reflects who I am: structured yet sensitive, serious without being solemn, and spiritual without asking you to subscribe to any particular belief.
You come exactly as you are.
Assessment of learning
On the final day, you will lead the group through an original 20-to-30-minute experience inspired by spiritual forest therapy and Plant Consciousness.
You can draw on the practices explored during the week and, if you wish, on your own skills: art therapy, photography, storytelling, sophrology, singing, music, meditation… But no particular skill is required.
The aim is to assess your ability to design a coherent experience, guide a group safely and foster a respectful relationship with the plant world.
Once the expected learning outcomes have been validated, you receive a certificate of successful completion.

Three seasons, three ways to experience the Ranch
🌸 April — The woodland floor awakening, young leaves, spring flowers and that extraordinary feeling that everything is beginning again.
☀️ August — Long light, fully opened canopies and nature at the height of its expansion.
🍂 October — A time of slowing down, colour, fruit and seeds… and everything trees can teach us about the art of letting go.
No two sessions are exactly alike. Because no two seasons are alike. And because, thankfully, the Living World always keeps a little room for the unexpected. 😉
